The Amish practice of "barn raising" is a wonderful community practice. While we may not be ready to grow beards, wear homespun bonnets or give up our technology, we do want to follow this admirable example of spirit-in-action.

Let's all help one another. Together, we can fix up that room, redo that yard, build that shed, clean up that garage... All while building community and making friends. This is the Gift Economy actualized!
