  I live in Costa Rica and am not too sure what "real estate corporations" are. Sellers of real estate or corporations formed to hold local properties?
  
  A significant portion of buyers here are people from the US and Canada, especially for beach properties. These buyers often are those that sell their US holdings to invest here. The problems in the US must affect the Costa Rican real estate market because if people get much less for their properties in the North, they will have much less to spend here.

    Roy they are the vehicle for buying real estate. Yes, if you want to buy local properties.
